United Way Conducts Emergency Food Drive for Salvation Army
A near-empty food pantry prompted an emergency food drive for the Salvation Army organized by the United Way. Several barrels of non-perishable food products were collected and delivered to the local organization. Contributors were Mental Health America, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, United Way staff and Board of Directors and the Noon Rotarians. An on-going food collection is continuing at the United Way and donations can be placed in the food barrel located in the office lobby

There is no fee for this service which is available to all Sheboygan County residents. Learn more.
Well Done on United Way Drive
The announcement Tuesday that the Sheboygan and Plymouth Area United Way has topped its $2.2 million fundraising goal by $55,000 is good news for the more than two dozen community service agencies that rely on the United Way for funding. Each will get the money they've asked for — and justified to the United Way board of directors. View article.
Community Impact Initiatives
When a community is serious about maintaining its reputation as a “great place to live, work and raise a family”, it can’t afford to take for granted that its reputation will remain stellar forever without the effort of thoughtful and timely planning. That is the goal of the Sheboygan & Plymouth Area United Way and its relationship with Sheboygan County: we know a good place to live when we see it and we want to keep it that way.
As a result of the 2007 Needs Assessment, the Strategic Planning Committee was called to action to select one or more community-rallying initiatives for approval by the United Way Board. Community impact initiatives have been selected in the following areas:
- Positive Youth Development and Strengthening Families Initiative
- Prevention of Elderly Abuse and Isolation of the Homebound Initiative
Collaborative work has begun with United Way staff, our affiliated agencies and other agencies, organizations and key community businesses and interest groups. View Impact Strategies Report.
