Above & Beyond Children’s Museum

Working with all ages of children in programming or as floor monitors or working with adults in program or craft preparation, exhibit preparation, construction, maintenance, marketing or customer service. View website.

 

American Red Cross

Big Brothers & Big Sisters

Boy Scouts of America

Family Connections

Assistance with secretarial needs such as photo-copying, bulk mailings, stuffing folders, etc. Yard work, cleaning, & janitorial duties also needed. We are willing to work around your schedule. Family Resource Centers of Sheboygan County

Tutoring adult literacy students and ESL students and Partners in Reading program. Also, for collating training materials and telephoning tutors. Providing childcare for FRC programs/classes in Plymouth and Sheboygan. Volunteers are welcome to assist with bulk mailings, delivery of catalogs and special events as well. Family Service Association

Clerical help:  copying, collating and filing; document scanning and filing

Foster Grandparent Program

Older adults, age 55 and older, who enjoy working with children in the school setting. Minimum time commitment of 4 hours weekly required.  Income eligible adults receive a tax-free stipend and daily meal and mileage reimbursement. Contact Barbara Horneck at (920) 783-0003. View website.

 

Girl Scouts of America

Adults interested in working with girls who are either elementary, middle, or high school age? Volunteer to be a troop leader, cookie sale manager, program event facilitator and help build girls of courage, confidence and character who will make the world a better place.  Adults interested in working with other adults volunteer to be a trainer, organizer, community cookie sale manager, or fund raiser.  Training is provided. Lutheran Social Services

Mental Health America

Volunteers are needed to work at the MHA booth at the county fair. Also, for being the mascot, working health fairs, baking, etc. and the Adopt-A-Street program. Contact Beverly Randall at (920) 458-3951. View website

 

Rainbow Kids

Facilitators to work with our participants – 4 years old through high-school and adults - once a week for 14 weeks. Groups meet for one hour. A six-hour training is required and a three hour in-service is provided a week before the group sessions start up. Also need representatives on their Board of Directors. Bulk mailings, (folding, sealing envelopes, etc.) Loading supplies in totes and buckets to be used at our sites. Making buttons on our button machine to be used at our sites. Safe Harbor

The Salvation Army

Providing food to the hungry, shelter to the homeless and medical care to the uninsured. Those interested may fill out a volunteer application during regular office hours at our main location 710 Pennsylvania Ave. Contact Mary Piehl at (920) 458-3723. View website.

 

Medical Providers: Licensed doctors and nurses are needed to increase the medical provider volunteer pool that provides care to clients at clinic sessions. Usually 9 clinics per month are held.

 

Clinic Support: Volunteers are needed to assist with client flow during clinic sessions. Usually 9 clinics per month are held.

 

Cashiers: Volunteer cashiers are needed at the Family Store. Morning shifts are 9 am-1 pm and afternoon shifts are 1 pm-5 pm.

 

Supper Service: Calling all cooks! Share a smile as you prepare supper in our homeless shelter. Food and kitchen provided on site. Volunteers needed 365 days a year.

 

Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization

We are in need of additional volunteer drivers. We receive about 15-20 requests per month. Most are in town (Sheboygan County), however, some are for Milwaukee and Green Bay. The person must have a valid Driver’s License, Insurance and be willing to have a background check done. This is all volunteer there is no mileage reimbursement; however, the volunteer can take it as a tax donation. We are also looking for a volunteer to assist in our childcare center over the lunch hours from 11am-1pm Monday through Friday. Volunteer will help prepare and serve food, as well as help our children get settled for naptime. Contact Kristin Blanchard at (920) 457-7272 .
