Our Partners

 

The Sheboygan & Plymouth Area United Way Affiliates Group is made up of one representative (often the CEO, executive director or a local lead staff member/volunteer) from an agency whose programs are funded by the Sheboygan & Plymouth Area United Way. 

 

Meetings

Meetings are held at the United Way in February, April, June, August, October and December on the third Tuesday of the month at 1:45 pm.  Attendance is encouraged but voluntary. Attendance and participation are not a condition of the agency’s funding by the United Way.

Above & Beyond Children’s Museum

Creates a safe setting for children and their families where play and education connect through discovery and exploration.

 

Alzheimer’s Association
Alzheimer’s is a disease that attacks the brain. Every 72 seconds someone is diagnosed. The Alzheimer’s Association can provide a warm knowledgeable voice on the phone, accurate information, face-to-face consultation and support, specialized educational opportunities and the safe return of a loved one.

 

American Red Cross

A volunteer-led organization providing relief to disaster victims and helping people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

 

Aurora Visiting Nurse Association of Wisconsin

An association that provides at home healthcare solutions such as skilled nursing, social services, intravenous therapy, rehabilitation therapy, lifeline, hospice and palliative care.

 

Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Sheboygan County, Inc.

An organization that enriches the lives of children through initiating and supporting safe, productive, long-term friendships with caring, responsible adult mentors.

 

Boy Scouts of America - Bay Lakes Council

Comprehensive youth development program consisting of: Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Venturing and Learning for Life/Exploring.

 

Boys and Girls Club of Sheboygan County

An organization helping youth of all backgrounds achieve their potential and attain skills for becoming responsible citizens and leaders.

 

Camp Evergreen
A traditional summer camp program from mid-June to mid-August which serves children and adults with cognitive, emotional, physical and learning disabilities.

 

Catholic Charities

An agency providing treatment, intervention, resettlement and education services while advocating for social justice and encouraging action.

 

Children's Service Society

An organization that fosters nurturing environments for children through out-of-home care, prevention, counseling and transitional living programs.

 

Family Connections, Inc. - Reach

An organization that assists families needing child care by ensuring its availability and that maintains a helpline for general information, referral services and supportive listening.

 

Family Resource Centers of Sheboygan County

An organization that builds strong families of all ages through parenting programs, parent and child activities, family support groups, child developmental screenings, professional trainings, resource lending library, a place to play and learn and a home visiting parenting program for first time parents and their babies through three years of age.

 

Family Service Association

Dedicated to helping individuals and families maintain and achieve financial stability and improve their quality of life through education, counseling, advocacy and financial management programs.

 

Foster Grandparent Program

Dedicated to improving the lives of seniors and children. By assisting students in need, seniors gain purpose and fulfillment while earning a tax-free stipend, thereby improving their overall well-being.

 

Girl Scouts of Manitou Council, Inc.

Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. The volunteers and staff of Girl Scouts of Manitou Council are committed to the Girl Scout mission of building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

 

Hmong Mutual Assistance Association

An association that helps especially minorities and refugees improve their quality of life, assists in obtaining self-sufficiency and promotes social integration while preserving dignity and traditions.

 

Lutheran Social Services

A crisis intervention program called Project Youth, strengthening youth and their families with free 24-hour access to counseling, youth crisis help, foster care, runaway services and teen groups for anger and AODA issues.

 

Meals on Wheels of Sheboygan County, Inc.

A group of caring community volunteers who deliver hot meals and provide valuable safety checks to those who are elderly, disabled or homebound.

 

Mental Health America

An organization that addresses all aspects of mental health by providing educational programs, information, confidential referrals, assistance with medication costs, and support groups.

 

Partners for Community Development

Providing a program, Hispanic-American Information Center, offering area Hispanics guidance, translation, counseling and referrals for assistance to appropriate organizations or agencies.

 

Rainbow Kids

An organization providing peer support programs for families who are grieving a significant loss due to death, divorce, separation, abandonment and community crisis events.

 

Rehabilitation Center of Sheboygan

A program that supports both infants and toddlers who have developmental delays and disabilities and their families by providing information and skills.

 

Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County, Inc.

An organization that works to prevent all forms of domestic abuse and sexual assault by educating the community and providing safety and support for all victims.

 

St. Nicholas Hospital Home Health and Hospice

An organization that provides high quality, cost effective, at home care by restoring health, promoting wellness and helping the client reach his or her optimal health status with God’s help.

 

Salvation Army

An evangelical Christian organization that focuses on meeting human needs through general assistance including an emergency lodge, healthcare clinic, day care center and youth programs.

 

Salvation Army – Bread of Life Assistance Center (Plymouth)

An organization which strives to provide clients with essential life necessities while increasing their knowledge on how to avoid the financial shortfalls again.

 

Sheboygan Area Even Start Family Literacy Program
A program that strives to break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy in our community by offering GED/HSED and English language classes, early childhood education, home visiting and interactive literacy activities to families who are low income and have at least one child under the age of 8 years.

 

Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization

Establishing Beyond Bridgeway, a transitional living program to assist families in transitioning out of their group home, Bridgeway House, enabling them to become self-sufficient again.
