Finance Committee
The Finance Committee meets by order of the Board of Directors to consider all financial matters including audit reports, financial statements, annual budget and insurance coverage. The Board Treasurer chairs this committee.

Marketing Committee
Headed by the Marketing Coordinator, this committee meets monthly or more often to develop and implement a proactive marketing plan; identify and increase opportunities to communicate with target audiences conveying the United Way brand and vision on a year-round basis; communicate the impact of United Way internally and externally, promoting community partnerships and collaborations; enhance and improve the United Way position on the Internet; incorporate year-round theme building on the United Way of America branding concepts to enhance the awareness of the identity and value within United Way.

Personnel and Nominations
This committee meets as needed to evaluate the Sheboygan & Plymouth Area United Way’s personnel policy and make recommendations for updates and changes to the Board. They also review employee evaluations on an annual basis and make recommendations on salary adjustments. They also review nominations of candidates for the Board of Directors and present a slate of nominees at the SPAUW annual meeting.

Planning and Allocations Committee
The Planning and Allocations Committee is comprised of the Planning and Allocations coordinator and up to three members of the Board of Directors and appointed volunteers. Their purpose is to plan how the needs of the community (as determined by the United Way’s most recent Needs Assessment study) will be addressed through allocation of United Way campaign donations to programs of United Way affiliated non-profit agencies. The committee also measures the performance of these programs twice a year, holding affiliated agencies accountable for their annual allocations. View Manual

Strategic Planning Committee
Created in 2006, this committee provides community impact leadership in defining our human service needs in the community and works with agencies and other partners to create the greatest impact for our community; positions Sheboygan & Plymouth Area United Way as the best philanthropic value for current and potential donors; manages resources for maximum efficiency and accountability. The Strategic Direction is planned in 3 to 5 year increments by the committee. View 2007 Needs Assessment.
